The Porch is closed Saturdays. Every rate includes parking for 12 vehicles, water, power, string lighting, shade, portable restroom, and pond dock access. Multi-day and custom quotes on request.
What holds a date, and when is the balance due?
A signed agreement and the $300 refundable damage deposit. Until both are in, the date stays open to other inquiries.
- The deposit is refundable after the event if the property is left in the condition it was found. Normal cleanup is covered; there is no separate cleaning fee.
- The balance is typically due 14 days before your event. The exact schedule is confirmed in your agreement.
- Payment is by card and electronic payment; details come with your agreement.
- Holds. We can hold a date informally for a short window while you decide, but a competing inquiry ends the hold. The deposit is what secures it.
- Per-guest fees: none for the venue itself. Venue rates are flat up to 50 guests; only tableware rentals are priced per person.
- Discounts. The weekday rate is the discount. Current pricing is introductory and will rise as the calendar fills.
- Cancellation. Terms are in your agreement; generally the deposit is refundable up to a defined window before the event and non-refundable after. Ask for the exact terms before you sign. If we cancel for any reason within our control, you receive a full refund of everything paid, including the deposit.
- Date changes. One change is usually workable if the new date is open and you give reasonable notice.

Event insurance. Weddings and events over 25 guests require a one-day event liability policy, $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, naming The Porch as additional insured. Because we are alcohol-free, you can skip liquor liability, which is usually the expensive part. Expect $75 to $200 through providers like The Event Helper, GEICO, or WedSafe. Send us the certificate at least 14 days before your date.
Your event, your responsibility. Renters assume responsibility for themselves, their guests, and their vendors during the rental. The Porch is not responsible for personal property brought onto the property. Full terms are in your rental agreement.
All figures are starting prices. Smaller guest counts carry a higher per-person rate because delivery is a fixed cost; we quote your exact number when you inquire. Lavender portraits depend on bloom timing, usually early summer. Photographer and coordinator availability is confirmed when you book your date.
How does this fit a small Oregon wedding budget?
For 50 guests in the Portland area, a realistic all-in range is $8,000 to $18,000 depending on catering and photography. Our venue rate is deliberately below the regional average to leave room in your budget.
- Portland photographers commonly run $3,000 to $7,000 for full-day coverage; the on-site photographer here starts at $475 for two hours.
- Day-of coordinators quote $1,400 and up. For 50 guests a full planner is usually unnecessary; the decorating coordinator covers setup and teardown at a fraction of that.
- Tents and patio heaters for cool-season dates are rented from Portland-area companies and are not included; we will tell you what fits the space.
- Because the venue is alcohol-free, your event policy can skip liquor liability, which keeps insurance at the low end of the $75 to $200 range.
